Workshop includes: Overview of Etching: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the etching process, including plate preparation, application of the etching grounds, and various mark-making techniques. Plate Preparation: Discover the art of coating a metal plate with etching ground and explore ways to create different textures and effects using various tools. Mark-Making Techniques: Experiment with a variety of mark-making tools to create unique and personalised designs on your etching plate. Acid Bath Etching: Experience the excitement of submerging your prepared plate in an acid bath to reveal the intricate lines and textures on the metal surface. Inking and Printing: Learn the art of inking your etched plate and pulling prints using an etching press. Experiment with different inking methods to achieve diverse visual effects.
