Service Description

This is an exciting new course that is a perfect introduction into the wonderful world of printmaking. It is ideal for beginners, or those already experienced in print looking to refresh or develop their skills. The course is delivered by experienced members from the collective who will share their knowledge and passion of monoprinting, intaglio, relief, and letterpress. Taught across four Bristol based studios, you will get an insight into studio practice, exploring key aspects of the craft including image making, presses, inks, and tools. This is a fantastic opportunity to try a range of processes and techniques that have unique potentials for creative exploration! The course will run across 5 consecutive Saturdays from 10am-4pm to allow an in-depth exploration of each technique. All materials will be provided. Just bring a packed lunch and some inspiration! Dates and location – 23rd September Botanical Printmaking – Grow Wilder with Sonja Burniston 30th September Drypoint – In Bristol Studio with Luke Wade 7th October – Copper Plate Etching – Jemma Gunning’s studio in Backwell 14th October – Reduction lino – In Bristol Studios – Luke Wade 21st or 28th October – Letter press Estate of the Arts – Theo Wang (Theo prefers to work with smaller groups. If you have a preference on the date then we will try and accommodate your request).
