Thank you to everyone who visited us at BV Open Studios! We had a great time meeting everyone and sharing our space with the public and fellow BV artist studio members.
We are absolutely delighted to say that we have been featured in Issue 3 of Pressing Matters magazine, a magazine dedicated to the art and craft of printmaking. In our article we chat about our Danish residency at Funen Printmaking Studio, day to day life working together as a collective, and each of our own personal practices.
To celebrate, we will be hosting an afternoon of free drop-in workshops at Cass Arts in Bristol!
Join us in screen printing your own tote bag for your copy of Pressing Matters, which will be available to buy throughout the afternoon. Use a classic Adana Press to print your own book mark, and use lino stamps to create your own personal design.
Find us at Cass Arts (43 - 45 Park Street, Bristol, BS1 5NL) Sat 17th March, 2 - 5 pm!

We have some upcoming workshops at the Dockyard Bristol and Cato Press, more details to be revealed soon.

We had a fantastic albeit quick weekend exhibiting our work at the Christmas Steps Gallery from 9th - 12th November. We had two rooms, one was the Denmark room, showing work we had made during our month long residency at Funen Printmaking Studio. The other was our Bristol room, showing work from before and after our visit. It was great chatting to people about our experiences, and how these experiences have shaped the way we work since.
On the Thursday evening we enticed our friends, family and passer-by’s into the gallery with hot mulled wine and Danish inspired sweet treats, it really was a lovely evening. Thank you to everyone who came along, we really appreciate it! And of course thank you to everyone that visited us over the weekend, we had some really exciting conversations. Thank you also to Steve Norton, who thankfully took better photos than we did!
On October 14th, we were lucky enough to host a workshop at the gorgeous Cato Press studios based in Easton, Bristol. It was also our very first Collagraph Printmaking workshop and it went down a treat! We spent the morning sticking and varnishing textured materials to cardboard plates to create our images. Once they were dry, we inked them up and used the big hand built press to print with.
We had such a great time there, we most certainly will be back!
